About Glasfryn Escapes
Escape – noun (Forget)
‘Something that helps you forget about your usual life or problems’
Glasfryn Escapes is a small family run campsite located at the top of Fishguard where you’ll be heartily greeted by fresh sea air and views of Dinas Head, Fishguard Bay, the Preseli Hills and on a really clear day, Snowdonia.
We are a small holding with attached garden centre (or is it the other way around?), well… Anyway, we have expanded our previously tiny camping field into a small natural camp site so that we can share our idyllic, quiet and unique location in Pembrokeshire with a small number of people at a time. This helps ensure that you’re able to ‘escape’ and have a ‘Pembrokeshire way of life’ experience that is the most fulfilling possible. We also provide some home comforts in the process such as flushing toilets and hot showers (to wash your wonderfully sea salty hair).
With quick access to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park (you can see it from our site!) you can head off to enjoy a plethora of exciting and thrilling activities and experiences like coasteering, kayaking, surfing, but maybe also the other side; Pembrokeshire can cater for all. You could take a more relaxed approach, wandering to hidden coves and natural tranquil scenes all over the county.
So that your camping experience is the most enjoyable and memorable campfires and barbecues are a must. While staying with us you will have the use of our up-cycled firepits/BBQ troughs so that you can take pleasure in cooking outside or maybe simply toasting some marshmallows on a fire under a blanket of stars.
As part of the Greener Camping Group we are helping to sustain a greener, eco friendly and more natural setting for campers and also wanting to preserve this wonderful environment around us not only in Pembrokeshire but further afield. The group was established by a small group of like-minded people, with a shared passion for sustainable, low impact camping holidays.
In future we hope to encourage even more sustainable energy solutions such as solar powered electricity and wildlife habitat onto our site though a small woodland, willow patch, sown meadow, bee hives …
